Work on the Doom 3 map project is suspended in favour of Scout’s Journey.
Doom 3 is not well suited to short time mapping projects. It’s mainly the lack of assets and generic tiling textures, along with the relatively limited core gameplay, that make it exceedingly hard to create anything interesting with it unless you’re willing to seriously mod it. The scarcity of decent community made levels is proof enough of this.
It was interesting and I did learn a few things, but I’d rather put the time into Scout’s Journey tbh.
