Doom 3 unshelved


I do work on other things sometimes. So I recently pulled the Doom 3 map off the shelf and started changing the layout to provide more room for movement. The old encounter design was just complete rubbish. Now there is room to move.


I also ended up going over the lighting. I moved away from pure white colours and towards more variation of subtle colours. A blue-and-yellow scheme often works well for me. I threw in some green too. It was possible to include multiple small lights and remove some room lights to make up for it.There is some other stuff cooking, but it’s not ripe for posting screenshots.
